Hi everyone! My name is Henna Nabi, and I am a Master’s Level Intern pursuing my degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Lipscomb University. I am on the Play Therapy track because I am passionate about working with children, teens, and their families to create meaningful change in their lives.
A little about me! I’m a Tennessee native from Brentwood, TN, and I graduated from Lipscomb University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science. During my undergraduate studies, I enjoyed my psychology courses, which ultimately led me to pursue a Marriage and Family Therapy career. I knew I wanted to work in a field where I could support individuals and families in navigating life’s challenges, fostering resilience, and building stronger connections.
A few of my hobbies consist of baking, spending time with my family and friends, crocheting, and traveling. If I had to recommend one destination to add to your travel bucket list, it would be Turkey—it’s a breathtaking country filled with rich culture, history, incredible food, and stunning landscapes. Also, fun fact: I’m a huge Swiftie! You’ll probably catch me listening to Taylor Swift at least once a day.
As an intern, I strive to create a supportive, culturally sensitive, and affirming space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. Every individual’s story is unique, and my goal is to walk alongside my clients as they explore their emotions, strengthen relationships, and work toward personal growth. I am excited to be part of this journey and to help my clients reach their goals.
Therapeutic Modalities
Play Therapy: Play therapy is often used with children and adults as an alternative communication and (re)processing form. During the session, the client is engaged in symbolic play.
